Former Goldman Sachs Executive Joins A10 Capital
A10 Capital
, Boise, named Jim Conway its chief credit and risk officer.

Prior to joining A10 Capital, Conway served as co-CEO and chief credit officer of Goldman Sachs Commercial Mortgage Capital from 1998 to 2010, where he chaired the firm’s credit committee and closed more than 1,500 commercial mortgages totaling over $16 billion of loan volume. He also served as Senior Vice President of Phoenix Realty Securities, where he led the firm’s Southwest and Western regions.

From 1977 to 1995 Conway worked for Travelers Insurance Co., serving in all areas of its commercial real estate business including mortgage lending, real estate development, asset management, servicing, workout/REO, and joint venture equity. He became managing director of the firm's real estate subsidiary.

Walker & Dunlop Hires Pantone and Blake
Walker & Dunlop
, Bethesda, hired John Pantone as senior vice president in the capital markets department and Douglas Blake as senior vice president of the company’s closing department.

Based in Chicago, Pantone will focus on financing all types of income-producing properties including office, residential, hospitality, industrial and retail in the Midwest region, and will work with clients to find equity partners.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Pantone worked as regional director for ARC Property Trust. He previously held senior positions at Heller Real Estate Finance and Buchanan Street Partners. He also co-founded AEG Real Estate Advisors.

Blake will manage all aspects of the loan closing process in his new role. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Blake served as the national head of closing and construction loan administration at Berkeley Point Capital (formerly Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage). He also worked in the closing and loan delivery departments at Capri Capital and Aries Capital Inc.

Clayton Holdings Hires Meleones as Sr. Managing Director of Commercial Real Estate Services
Clayton Holdings LLC, Shelton, Conn., announced that James Meleones joined the company as senior managing director of commercial real estate services.

He handles all aspects of Clayton’s commercial real estate practice, including loan-level due diligence, loan and portfolio valuation and portfolio oversight and strategy, and reports directly to Paul Bossidy, Clayton Holding's president and CEO.

Meleones spent 15 years at Bank of America where he served as national underwriting manager for the bank’s commercial mortgage-backed securities business, responsible for structuring, underwriting and pricing all loans originated for CMBS securitization. Prior to Bank of America, he spent 20 years at Continental Wingate Co., focusing on commercial real estate. 

New Marketing Director for Berkeley Point Capital
Lina Storm
joined Berkeley Point Capital, Bethesda, as director and national head of marketing. Based in Boston, she will develop and manage the firm’s overall strategic marketing program.

Storm previously served as director of marketing operations for John Hancock/Manulife in Boston. Before that she worked in marketing consultation and management roles at MetLife Investors Wealth Advisory Group and Manulife Financial.

Thompson Joins Manulife Asset Management

, Toronto, named Greg Thompson managing director of consultant relations, based in the firm's Montreal office.

Thompson joins Manulife Asset Management from Pyramis Global Advisors, where he served as director of consultant relations and worked on developing relationships with Canadian investment consultants and analysts. Prior to that, he spent eight years with Mercer Investment Consulting, where he provided investment consulting services to pension funds and conducted research and analysis on investment management organizations.
